Hello, Pink and Main friends and welcome back! Laurie here with you to share a non-Christmas/Holiday card. I love making holiday cards but after about the 20th card, I kind of feel like playing with other stamps and dies. Anyone else feel that way??
Anyway, onto the card!
I used the super cute Narwhals Stamp Set and its co-ordinating dies. I tried to create an aquarium looking scene or porthole even! I use the largest of the Reverse Scallop Circle Dies to create the frame. I used the inner portion of the die cut and inked it up with Salty Ocean Distress Oxide Ink. To create some texture or the look of bubbles, I splattered it with a mixture of Perfect Pearls and water. This also add shimmer!
I made a 4.25X4.25 card base and using my scoring board, scored at 3/4″ all the way down the front panel. I die cut the Scallop Circle once more out of craft foam and adhered the two pieces together. I placed the circle on top of the card front without adhesive then glued and pieced the inner portion. I find this works the best. I then glued down the frame.
The sentiment comes from the Going Places Stamp Set and was stamped onto one of the Sentiment Strip Dies. All that was left to do was foam mount the narwhal and speech bubble inside the frame!
I did add some shimmer to the horn, bow and heart with a glitter pen and Nuvo Crystal Glaze.
Thank you so much for dropping in! See you soon!
Laurie
