Hello Everyone,
It is Zsofi here with a fun birthday card using the newly released Bee Day stamp/die set and the Celebrate die set.
I started with stamping a bunch of the images on alcohol friendly cardstock and used my Copics to add colour. Then I cut them out with the coordinating dies.
I also die cut a sticthed circle from textured light blue cardstock and a bit bigger scalloped circle from black cardstock and layered them on top of each other. I stamped the sentiment from the stamp set on the bottom using my stamp positioner as I had to stamp it a few times to get the ink into the cracks of the textured cardstock. I felt I needed some more pink so I die cut the Celebrate sentiment from pink cardstock.
I wanted a tiny bit of colour in the background so I took the Four point star stencil and very lightly applied a light yellow ink directly on the white card base.
Then I assembled the card, arranged the images and adhered them with liquid glue. Even if I did not use 3D foam squares, the card has dimension thanks to the rounded edges of die cutting. And it is going to be easier to mail this way.
As a finishing touch I used a clear shimmer pen on the wings and glossy accents on the banner. To make the bees pop I used a black glaze pen on the stripes and also on the hole of the beehive. It gives a sharp and shiny black finish, I love it!
Hope you enjoyed today’s inspiration and will check back later today for more fun! See you soon,
Zsofi
