Hello Pink and Main Friends. It’s Donna here, and I’m making a good start on my Christmas cards. One of my favourite types of cards are angel cards, and I have a little cutie to share with you today.
To make the background, I used Distress Oxides, and blended them onto a piece of white card with my Mini Ergonomic Blender Brush. I’ve just received the new cleaning system, and I was amazed that I could go from black distress oxide back to the lightest colour, which was Speckled Egg with just a quick swipe through the cleaning system of Brush Scrubber and Squeaky Clean Brush Cleaner . You can see how clean the pale blue looks – no sign of the black.
If you’d like to see me road testing the cleaning system, and also making this card, you can do so here.
Once I had finished blending, I spattered the panel with clean water and then used a paper towel to blot up the water to leave speckles. I then mixed some Perfect Pearls powder with more water and spattered it on for some more sparkly speckles.
Next, I added some of the stars from the Little Angels stamp set – one larger star to represent the star above the manger, and then some sparkle behind the angel. I embossed these in white.
The main image and the sentiment are from the same Little Angels stamp set. I colored this little cutie with Copic markers. cut her out with the matching dies, and popped her up with foam tape. Some blue card from my stash made a nice frame for the card elements.
I hope that you have enjoyed this card with it’s adorable little angel. Until next time, stay safe,
Blessings,
