Hey, Pink & Main fans and welcome back! Laurie here to share a card using the brand new Timber Stamp Set, it’s co-ordinating dies as well as the new Stitched Rectangles 2 Set!! This release makes masculine cards so easy. Which is good for me because that is always a struggle!!
I focused on a colour palette of browns and ivory for this card, which can be boring, but with a pop of red and some patterned paper, this combo can look quite good!
I stamped the lumberjack and axe onto ivory cardstock with a brown ink and quickly coloured them with coloured pencils. And I mean quickly!! Just one shade of each colour and I took no time to blend. I didn’t really want a perfect look to this, rather more of a “rustic” colouring! I die cut a piece of patterned paper from the Pumpkin Spice Paper Pad using one of the smaller rectangles from the Stitched Rectangles 2 set. To add a bit of “grass”, I die cut some green cardstock using one of the Lacy Border Dies and adhered that to the bottom of the rectangle. This introduces a different colour and also grounds the image.
Before adding my cute lumberjack to the card, I repeatedly stamped the axe image onto an ivory panel using a brown ink. Then matted that onto a dark brown layer of cardstock. The focal image was popped up as well as the sentiment banner underneath.
After everything was put together, I decided it needed that cute little heart, which comes from the Narwhals Stamp Set and matching dies. I think I’m going to set this card aside for Valentines Day!!
Thank you for stopping by and I hope you enjoyed todays look at the new Timber Stamp Set and Dies!!
See you soon!
Laurie
