Hello crafty friends. Donna here, and I really am in love! Every month I think that the Pink and Main release is my favourite yet, and then along come these guys! Aren’t they adorable?
And the next release date is soooo close!
I coloured these little guys with copic markers, choosing colours that were either very light or very bright, so they’d pop against the darker background that I had planned. I used the same colours across all of them so that the card would not be too busy, and would look like a whole. I chose a lot of yellow, being the complimentary colour to the blue/purple of the background, as I love this combination.
I used the tiniest bit of pale pink for the cheeks, and light blue greens for the snow on both the snowmen and the ground. I then cut them all out with the matching die. See how the die even cuts out the space between his legs? So clever! I would not want to be doing that with scissors!
The background sky was made by blending Distress Inks onto the card stock. I used a piece of tape to mask off the ground, and used mid to dark blues, and even some black around the edges of the sky. This stamp set comes with some small star images and I white heat embossed these to add some twinkle to the sky, as well as some splashes of perfect pearls. The snowy ground was done with copic markers, just making some horizontal shadow shapes where I wanted the cuties to be.
You can see one more little snowman in this picture that didn’t make it onto the card. I’ll have to find another special place for him. Stay tuned!
Until next time, happy crafting! I can’t wait to see what lovely goodness you all create with this new release.
Oh my gosh!! Super adorable! It is my favorite stamp & die set!! Love the extra snowman too! LOL
Have a wonderful day,
