Hello Pink and Main Friends. Happy May! It’s Donna here, and I’m sharing a card today that uses one of the lovely blooms from the Missing You stamp set. Sometimes I spend a LOT of time colouring an image, as you saw in my last post, where I coloured the peony. Sometimes, it’s nice to keep things more simple and graphic, and that’s what I have for you today.
To colour the blooms, I used my Mini Ergonomic Blender Brush to add the first layer of colour, and then an even smaller blending brush to add the deeper colour in the centers of the flowers and the bases of the leaves. I used my scissors to cut the images out right on the lines, except for the leaf sprigs which would have fallen apart, so I left a border on those.
I have a quick little video to share with you of the card making process. You can pop over and see it here. https://youtu.be/0p1sa2VtgVA
The background piece is cut using my absolute favourite Stitched Rectangles 1 dies. I used a piece of Kraft cardstock.
The sentiment comes from the same Missing You stamp set. (that was probably obvious, given the words!) I used the leftover ink on the blender brush to give it a very pale purple tone. The images are glued down with a mix of Pink and Main EZ squeeze craft glue and foam tape.
I hope that you have enjoyed this card. I’ll be back soon with more flowers for you! Until next time,
Blessings,
