Hey friends! This is Amanda from Twiddler’s Nook. We had a bit of a kerfuffle last week and the calendar was marked a week off for release day. Oops! So you got a fun sneak peek of an upcoming set and today I’m back for the real release day with that same Bear with Wagon set again paired with a new Gone Fishing stamps and dies as well.
I stamped the images from both sets and colored them with my copic markers before using the coordinating dies to cut them out. Then I took all of the small images from Gone Fishing and stamped them in embossing ink on a white panel. I heat embossed them with the new Candy Apple embossing powder, then used my blending brush to ink over the panel with a red ink. I love the tone-on-tone design to bring a little detail to the design.
Next, I inked an A2 size panel with distress oxide ink from chipped sapphire to blueprint sketch and finished the top off with a little salty ocean. I spritzed the panel with water and blotted it dry. Then I flicked vanilla and bluebell watercolor from LH Colors on the panel.
Once it was dry, I trimmed the red panel to 1.5 inches and added a thin strip of black cardstock to the top edge with EZ Tear Tape and popped the panel up on the blue one with foam tape. Next, I added my images with foam squares.
Finally I stamped sentiments from Gone Fishing and Love You More, and die cut them with Large Sentiment Strip dies, popping them up with foam squares. For finishing touches I added glossy accents to the bear noses, fishing pole reel and bobber too!
I had so much fun combining these unrelated sets for a whole new look and a fabulous Father’s Day card idea for any fisherman!
