Hello, again, friends! It’s Andrea with you sharing a fun gift-giving idea. Do you like to give gift cards, bags of homemade treats (maybe homemade candy? yum!), or other small gifts? Well, I have a fun project you’re going to love!
Isn’t that bag so cute and festive?! I never grow tired of traditional Christmas colors! I started by die-cutting two gift bags from Jolly Paper with the Gift Bag Dies. From one of those, I die-cut a scallop using the Scallop Circle Dies and attached a piece of clear acetate behind the opening. I used a bone folder on all of the score lines and assembled the bag with ScorTape. I love that you can see the fun striped pattern peeking through, as well as whatever gift you put inside!
There are so many ways to dress up this cute bag, but I decided to use one of the yummy cakes from Sweet Christmas. I stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, colored with Copics, and cut it out with the coordinating dies. I added a few highlights with a white gel pen and some Stickles to the berries and adhered the cake with liquid glue.
To create the tag, I stamped a sentiment from Sweet Christmas onto white cardstock and trimmed the strip with scissors. I created another flag from some green Jolly Paper and adhered the two flags together, slightly offset. I die-cut the snowflake from the Winter Wreath Decor Dies from blue glitter cardstock. Using a small hole punch, I punched a hole in the flags and snowflake, adhered them together, and tied on the tag with some baker’s twine from my stash.
There you have it – a simple, but fun way to give a small gift. Thanks for stopping by, and having a great day!
