Hello, Pink & Main friends and welcome back!! Laurie here with you this afternoon to share a fun and slightly unique card with you! I combined some new and older products to come up with this:
I just love the stamp image from the new Sent With Love Stamp Set. A lot of the sentiments from this set will fit inside the stamp but I wanted to try something a little different. I went through my stash and decided to use the Sweet Bouquets set to create a floral postage stamp.
I stamped the postage stamp first then placed masking tape around all the inner edges. I lined up the bouquet and stamped. The masking prevent the image to stamp onto the outer edges of the postage stamp!
After colouring, I fussy cut that pretty image out. To jazz things up a bit, I trimmed off the bottom portion of the card base about 2 inches. This leaves enough room under the flap to write a greeting. I cut a 3 inch strip of beautiful patterned paper from the Something Whimsy paper pad and adhered that to the inside of the card.
To give the edge of the upper flap a more finished look, I die cut a lace border from the Lacy Border Dies and added another strip of patterned paper.
I stamped the sentiment in a grey ink then tapped a black ink on the bottom to create a slight ombre effect. The postage stamp was foam mounted for a bit of dimension. I thought this card didn’t need any bling as there is quite a lot going on but I did add a few white gel pen details to the flowers.
And that’s my card for you today. I hope you enjoyed! Thanks so much for dropping in!
See you soon!
Laurie
