Hey, Chickie!

Hey, Pink and Main friends! The new release is here, but mine is still winging its way to me here in Japan, so I have some cuties from a slightly earlier release to share with you today. I’m so excited for my package to arrive, but you may be able to beat me to the new goodies. If you want to see the new release products, you can see them here. Be sure to check all of the first three pages – there is so much to this release! Meanwhile, I’ll continue my hourly stalk of the mailbox!

This sweet little quartet come from the Hey Chickie stamp set, I stamped them in Memento ink and coloured them with my Copic Markers. They are cut using the matching Hey Chickie dies (Yay for a die to make the decisions or me about how to cut the water drops!) Then behind them is the fabulous Wreath Base 2 Die. I love this die so much, and I use it just as much to highlight other stamps as I do as a wreath.

Behind the wreath is a textured layer made with the Garden Gate Embossing Folder, which is relatively new, and gave me a real challenge, because I loved both sides of the embossed area so much that I had a hard time choosing which side to have showing! The blue stripe paper behind this comes from The Year Round Dots and Stripes paper collection .

There are just two little details I haven’t mentioned. The sentiment, which comes from the Hey Chickie stamp set too, and was cut with its very own matching die, and the enamel dots which come from The World to Me set.

That’s a lot of layers for a little card, but the sweet little chickies really steal the show.

Until next time, may your days be full of sunshine

Blessings

Donna
