Hello Pink and Main friends. It’s Donna here, and I have a project for you today that is not a card! I’ve made a mixed media watercolour piece to display inside my front door. Here’s a look at the unframed piece.

The main image is from the Tall Flowers stamp set. I stamped this in clear ink and then heat embossed the flowers in white. I coloured them using watercolor pens before cutting out the images with the matching dies. I love how the dies cut the middles out, as I am not a fan of cutting out the ‘holes’

The background was made using shimmer sprays, which I watered down, and the Stained Glass Stencil. Once I had an initial layer of colour down, I laid down the stencil and sprayed a few sprays in full concentration of the pink and orange. I let it dry again, and laid the stencil in exactly the same place, this time spreading a little deco foil metallix gel onto a few places.

The sentiment is in two parts (as usual for me!). The letters are made using the Thin Alpha dies. I added some highlights with a white gel pen to each letter, and a coat of Glossy Accents. The second part of the sentiment comes from the Slimline Sayings Stamp set, and I cut out the banner using the Sentiment Strip Dies.
Here’s a picture of the piece displayed in my entry.
I hope that you’ve enjoyed this little departure from my regular posts! I’ll resume regular transmission next time!

Blessings,
Such a beautiful card and thanks for including some of our Deco foil too!
