Hello there, Crafty Friends!!
We are more than halfway through summer and I’m not quite ready for the kids to be heading back to school just yet. I still want time to play in the sun and splash in the water!
And in good old summer fun, I made this adorable beach themed card…
For the sunbathing cutie, I used the Sunkissed Greetings set. I colored her using color pencils and blended my colors with odorless mineral spirits. For her cheeks I rubbed a little pink chalk and added freckles with a white gel pen, which I also used to highlight this image throughout. I also added a bit of shine by going over the sun and sunglasses with a sparkle/glitter pen, then I filled the lense parts with a dimensional glaze.
For my “hello sunshine” sentiment, I used the “hello” from the Hello Dies, cut from black cardstock.
and paired it with the “sunshine” stamp from the Hello Friend stamp set.
I also topped my card off with a double scallop border using the largest of the scallops of Pink and Main’s New Scallop Border Dies. I cut them out twice from red cardstock and slightly offset each row. Once adhered to my card I tied light blue twine across the top.
I hope you enjoyed my card for today!! See you next time!
Hope you all enjoy the rest of your summer!!
