Hi friends, this is Caitlin and today I wanted to share these really sweet mini slimline Cozy Critter cards! I am so in love with the Pink and Main Ephemera sets because they make for some of the fastest card-making sessions I have ever had. If you need a card super fast, having these sets on hand would be a game changer!
I started out building these cards with two mini slim line bases out of Brownstone Card stock that measured 6 in x 3.5 in after being scored. I love this more medium brown tone and I think it’s perfect for fall cards… or gingerbread things!!! I grabbed the Cozy Critters Paper Pad so that I wouldn’t have to worry about colors matching, everything in the pad coordinates with the Cozy Critter Ephemera images really well. I used the largest die from the Stitched Mini Slim Rectangles 2 to cut out two panels of the pattern paper, the dark woodgrain and the pumpkins (which are my personal fav). I added those to my card bases with EZ Squeeze Liquid Glue and then got to play with all of the image options.
I love that there are sentiments and images that you can layer and play with or leave just as they are for a more simple look. Simple is not my strong suit so I played with layering lots of the little images and popped up the top layers with foam tape for added dimension and interest. Creating both of these cards took less than 20 minutes which is basically unheard of for me and I do love the coloring and inking process but for those times that pop up when you need a card NOW… these would be a great option!
