Hello Pink and Main friends. It’s Donna here, writing from Japan, where the cherry blossoms are just opening, and the plums are in full bloom! This place smells heavenly at the moment.
I was in a pink kind of celebratory mood, so I made this card to celebrate Pink and Main’s 5th Birthday. By the way, have you been along the blog hop? You still have a day to hop along and comment on the blogs to win one of five $50 store credit vouchers from Pink and Main. You can start the blog hop here.
So, onto today’s card!
I used the Party Balloon stamp set and the coordinating dies, and every shade of peachy pink I could find in my stash. I actually had a couple of spare balloons that I can use for a different card at a later date. I stamped the balloons in the pinks, then once they were definitely dry, I added the details with clear ink and gold embossing powder over the top. I love this set. I’ve already made a few cards with it, and I know it’s going to get a lot of love from me. The matching dies made it easy to cut out the strings nice and evenly too.
The sentiment is from the Celebrate die set. I cut this out of gold card to match the gold details on the balloons, and then cut it three times from white card, and layered them up to give the sentiment some dimension. This die has a matching Celebrate stamp set (or does the stamp set have a matching die, I wonder?) and I used this for the second half of the sentiment. There are many great phrases on the stamp set that can be combined with the die, like Celebrate your birthday, and There’s always a reason to celebrate, and Celebrate in style, as well as others.
I hope you get to hop along on the blog hop and share the excitement of the 5th Birthday celebrations. It’s such a great achievement for Michelle and the team, and I wish them many more successful years ahead.
Until next time, may your days be full of celebrations.
Blessings,
