Hello Pink and Main friends. It’s Donna and I’m so happy to be back in Japan, and with only three days of quarantine to go, I’m excited to get out into the real world! I’m still waiting on my new release stamps to make their way to my house, as I can’t go out and get them until quarantine ends. But If you’d like to see everything in the release, you can do so here. Make sure you look at all three pages! It’s a bumper release.
I have a card to share with you today that uses an older stamp that is one of my all time favourites. Those of you who have been following me over the past few years on the Pink and Main Design Team will know that flowers are my absolute favourites for cardmaking, and this is one of my favourite flowers.
This stamp is called Sunny Greetings, and it has no less than 16 different sentiments, as well as four beautiful sunflower images. It really is a beautiful stamp set. As you can see here, I haven’t used traditional sunflower yellows, and it gives the card a whole different look. I did use yellows for the background blending, which I did before I stamped the image.
Once I had blended both corners, I used a Copic friendly ink to stamp the images, and I coloured them with my Copic markers. Oh, the delight of having my Copics back after five months of having only a handful with me in Australia! I have added the markers to the pictures below so you can see how bright the original colours were before they were muted by the yellow.
I stamped the sentiment from the same Sunny Greetings set, then added a couple of yellow glitter enamel dots around it. They come from the Farmer’s Market Enamel Dots set. I then mounted the panel onto a card base using foam tape. You can see that the dimensions are slightly different to USA cards. Australian (and Japanese) A4 makes a slightly longer and narrower card.
That’s all for today’s card. I look forward to sharing new and exciting things with you this year. May it be a year of delight for all!
Until next time,
Blessings,
