Hello, Pink & Main friends and fans!
**Happy Thanksgiving (tomorrow)!!! Be sure to check out my turkey card HERE— Thanksgiving is my FAVORITE holiday, and I made sure to create a cute card using the P&M Harvest Turkeys stamps and dies! LOVE LOVE LOVE:)
It’s Savannah O’Gwynn, and I’m back to share a few decorated gingerbread houses using the newest P&M products and release— I think these cards are my MOST favorite design from this release!!! It was so fun putting together different designs using the NEW Home Sweet Home dies.
I loooooooooooove that I was able to make this HOME die into a GINGERBREAD HOUSE!!! There are so many ideas I have for this set— I can’t wait to share them all!!!
SLTC#43-ish, Colored Image #46-ish
SLTC#43-ish image #46-ish: So I did a bit of coloring on these gingerbread houses (specifically the second card)… but nothing really to chat about. It was fun to color simple designs and take a break from trying to color everything! LOL!
LL (Lessons Learned) + Mistakes: While the second card had simple coloring…. I did make a few mistakes while “simple coloring”! LOL! I can’t make a card WITHOUT a mistake! Even with “simple coloring” I made a MISTAKE!!! Can’t you believe it!? 😂 You will have to scroll down to the second card to see this mistake but here’s what I learned— DO NOT add glitter to RED colored images or NEAR red colored images! My red ink runs!!! I was able to fix it by adding MORE glitter on top of the glittered spots once they were dry, which made it have an extra glam look and covered the running red ink. LOL 😂
Basic Gingerbread House #1:
I used only the front of the home die for this gingerbread house image and card. My thought was that I would make a simple gingerbread house with a few drawn details. I added a few snowcaps from the Winter Home Add-On dies for the rooftop as my ground covering and a wreath for decoration. I also added a tree from the Little Trees die set. *I added glitter to the snowcaps and tree for extra pizazz! The drawn design was added to accent the embellishments of the home dies — a few Xs in the windows, scallops around the roof, and filigree around the round window. This is a very simple gingerbread house— since it was my FIRST gingerbread house ever, I think it turned out pretty cute!!! I really looooooooove it!
“Going ALL OUT for Christmas” Gingerbread House #2: After I created my first gingerbread house, I knew I wanted to make another!!! I already mentioned it but these home dies are super fun to play with!!!
While thinking about my next house image, I went through alllllllllll of my older P&M goodies— I found stamps for the “candy decorations” from Easter sets… circle roof pieces from a mermaid set… and the gumdrop pieces were from the Add-On dies! **All supplies are listed below!– be sure to check out what I used to create this gingerbread house!!!!
#TIP: Check your stash for other images that might work with your design!!!! You will be surprised what you find!!!
This gingerbread house just kept getting crazier and crazier— and I LOOOOOOOOOOOVE it! I think this card is super FUN and FABULOUS because of all the dimension with layers and glitter… the holographic snow… the colors… and of course my coloring {I mean my dots and simple coloring} 🙃
Isn’t this decorated gingerbread house so cute!?!?!? Doesn’t it remind you of the house that’s on your street that is over decorated for Christmas?!?! Nothing wrong with over decorating:)
I hope my gingerbread houses have inspired you to pull out your P&M goodies and create a something today! Be sure to check allllllllllllllll of your P&M goodies for your next creation!! Mix and match- it’s fun!
I’ll be back with MORE soon💌
Please remember to share what you create using these techniques, if you are learning to color with me, or if you use these P&M stamp/die sets so I can leave you some love ❤️
THANKS so much for stopping by! Happy crafting!!!
Hugs ❤️ Savannah
