Getting your ducks in a row – welcome baby cards

Hello Pink and Main friends. It’s Donna here, on my final countdown to our move to Japan(again). I have a set of three baby cards for you today, featuring the sweet ducklings from the “Just Ducky” stamp set.

I stamped three of the ducks in alcohol ink safe ink, and then coloured them with my Copic markers, using the same colours for each. I then stamped the sentiments from the same set onto black card with clear ink, and heat embossed in white. I then used the “Just Ducky” dies to cut out both the ducklings and the sentiments. Don’t you just love these rounded sentiment strip dies? I know I’ll be reaching for them for other cards too.

For the backgrounds, I mixed things up, and chose some of my favourite Pink and Main Embossing folders. The card above has a panel that has first been cut using the Stitched Rectangle dies and then run through with the Let’s Polka embossing folder for those fun big dots.

The next card used some fun paper from the Garden Paper Pack as the background, and the the bold stripes of the Wide Stripes Embossing Folder as a the middle layer. This card (and the next) both use In the Garden Enamel Dots as a finishing touch.

Finally below is a sweet little duck enjoying a splash in the water. I wonder if you recognise this stencil? It’s Pink and Main’s Woodgrain Embossing Folder. I turned the grain sideways, and lightly blended some pale blue ink onto it. Doesn’t it look like water now?

That’s all for today. Stay well, and I’ll be back on the blog, once I’ve settled into our new house in Japan. See you soon!

Blessings,

Donna
