Hi friends, this is Caitlin and I am back with a fun fall/coffee card this week. I used the negative side of this foil pattern in my card for my Live last night and I was honestly not thrilled with how it came out. This on the other hand, I am in love with. I used the new Bronze Cheerfoil with the Mugs Foilable Panels and my Mini Minc Foiling Machine. I left the panel whole and added it to an A2 size (5.5 in x 4.25 in) panel of Pebble Card Stock.
I stamped out one of the to go cup images from the Thanks a Latte Stamp Set and colored it in with my Copic Sketch Markers. To see how I colored you can catch the replay of the Live here! I used the coordinating die to cut it out and then stamped out the sentiment onto a scrap of Pebble Card Stock with green ink. I trimmed the sentiment down into a strip and used scissors to cut a flag edge on the right side.
I took some thick natural twine I had and wrapped it around my card a few times. I taped it together on the front and back with washi tape and then added my coffee cup with a double layer of foam tape. I added the sentiment, tucking the left side under the cup and then I decided that the background was still a little bit too plain. I grabbed my YG99 and YG95 markers and added some color to the striped cups in the background. I think this helps wake the background up without making it too busy.
