Floral Sprays Easy Watercolor Cards

Hi everyone!

Ilina here! I had so much fun creating these cards that I ended up making 10 in one sitting.

I used few products from the April release (Floral Sprays stamp set, Licorice Embossing Powder, Icicle Embossing Powder and the Frosting Embossing Powder) and paired it up with few of the old products (Big Thank You die, Big Hugs Die, Sunny Hello die set)

To make the cards I started with bunch of pre-cut pieces of watercolor paper. Since I was mass producing, I used my Stamp Positioning Tool (MISTI). I positioned the paper in the MISTI and then the stamp where I wanted to be. I inked the image using dye inks. I used ink cubes as it was easier to apply color with little bit more precision. Before stamping, I either sprayed the inked stamp with water, or sprayed my watercolor paper, or did both.

Once, I closed the door of the MISTI and held it for 20-30 seconds letting the ink absorb into the paper and also cause bleeding. Repeat this for all your panels (it’s addictive and so much fun). Once done, you can either use your heat tool to dry them or set them aside to dry.

Die cut bunch of sentiments using glitter paper. I used the Fall and Winter paper packs.Die cut also backing from craft foam (or you can stack cardstock die cuts, used craft foam). Assembly your sentiments. For the Hello sentiment, I performed die cut surgery and cut off the “Sunny” from each die cut.

Once the images are dry, stamp on top( do not remove your stamp from the MISTI tool) using Embossing and Watermark ink, then emboss using Licorice, Icicle and Frosting embossing powders.

Trim the panels to 4″ x 5 1/4″. Adhere the sentiments, add few germs on each card and adhere to a top folded white note card. Add few gems as finishing touch.

Below is a close up of all cards.

Thank you so much for stopping by. Hope you have an amazing day!
