Hello Pink and Main friends. It’s Donna here, popping in with one last Christmas card to wish you an absolutely wonderful holiday season. Today I have a trio of cuties hanging on the fireplace.
The teddies in the stockings come from a stamp set called The Best Gift. I stamped and coloured these with Copic markers. I then set about making the fireplace. I ran a piece of card through my cutting machine with the Woodgrain embossing folder from Pink and Main. I then lightly ran the chisel nib of a couple of brown markers over the embossed card, making sure that I didn’t colour into the valleys. I cut this woodgrain card into strips of different widths, and arranged them to make a fireplace, cutting angles on the top and bottom pieces.
Once I had roughly positioned the fireplace onto my card base, I used my Ergonomic blending brush to blend on a yellow fire. I stamped the greeting from the Winter Snow Globe Scene onto the fire, then went back and stuck everything down for real, using foam tape.
That’s all for this card. It was fun to use an embossing folder in this new way, and I love the way these cute little faces (and bottom) stick out from the stockings.
Until next time, I wish you the very best of everything over the holiday season! I look forward to sharing more cards with you soon!
Blessings,
Donna
