Hello everyone ! Mindy here and I’m back with some more inspiration from the April 2018 Pink & Main release! Today I’m focusing on … Margaritas!! Sounds yummy doesn’t it? This card definitely got my taste buds craving a nice Margarita.
The images are all stamped on Neenah white cardstock with a copic safe ink then colored with copic markers. I used the coordinating die to die cut them out. I like to use post it tape to hold my dies in place. It’s tacky enough to hold the die yet won’t rip my paper when I remove it.
As you can see I created two cards. I created the circle one first kind of playing around with ideas. The second card I created in a video down below.
I used the same techniques for both cards.
For the background, I cut the circle/hexagon in numerous places throughout the card. Then taking a piece of bristol cardstock, I ink blended colors for a gradient effect on each.
My ink blended piece and die cut panel both measure 4″ x 5 1/4″ which I adhered together.
I attached my panels to an A2 size cardbase using white cardstock. Then added my margaritas. My sentiment is stamped on black cardstock and heat embossed with white embossing powder and added to my card with foam squares.
I added a few glossy dots for a little more interest. On this card, I wanted to note that I added some Chuncky Glitter with Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive to give the effect of salt.
