Hi crafty friends, It’s Joy here. It’s snowing here while I create this card and when it melts all of the Fall colors will be gone. So I wanted to keep the Fall feeling going, I created a Fall camping scene using the Happy Place stamp and die. I really love creating scene cards and this stamp set has great images for that. I hope you enjoy!
I stamped the images from the Happy Place stamp set on watercolor cardstock with black ink. I used Zig Markers to color the images. Trees: Deep Green, Beige and Mid Green. Fire: Red, Orange, Bright Yellow, Yellow and Mid Gray. Camper: Turquoise Green and Orange. Sign: Beige, Deep Green and Mid Green. I used the coordinating dies to cut them out.
Because I’m using the fire image, I wanted the background to feel like nighttime. I used the Mask It Circle stencil to create the moon. I ink blended it with Squeezed Lemonade Distress Oxide Ink. The sky is Spiced Marmalade and Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide Inks and the ground is Gathered Twigs Distress Oxide Inks. When I was done ink blending the background I used Black Soot Distress Oxide Ink and blended the edges. I used a distress sprayer and spritzed the background and patted it dry with a paper towel.
I adhered the images, some with foam tape and then stamped the sentiment with black ink. I finished the card with a Touch Of Glass on the flames and the windows.
I hope you enjoyed this project, have a wonderful day!
Hugs,
Joy Baldwin
