Hello Pink and Main friends. It’s Donna here, and as I sit here in my room in Tokyo, the rain is still pouring down outside. Long may it last- I know that after the rain will come the oppressive heat, so I’m in no hurry to have it stop!! Still, I think the antidote to such grey skies is a great big pop of pink, and I don’t think I’ve ever made a card THIS pink!!!!
Have you got yourself the new Mini Ergonomic Ink Blender Brush yet? I’m really loving mine, and I’ve used it today to make areas of colour on my background panel. I used the Cracked Stencil, and blended Distress Ink in Picked Raspberry, Ripe Persimmon and Seedless Preserves. The smaller blending brush allowed me to have smaller areas of each colour, and to get a smooth blend. After I had blended over the stencil, I removed the stencil and just lightly blended over the whole panel so that there were no harsh white lines. I used the Mini Ergonomic Ink Blender Brush for this step too.
The main image and the sentiment both come from the Let’s Flamingle stamp set. I stamped and coloured the image in Copic Markers. I used one of the mid pink markers to colour a piece of card, and then stamped the sentiment in black ink. What a great sentiment for this card!
Finally, there is a white circle, and I used two different circle dies to create this. The circle is cut using the Layered Circle Dies, and the embossing was added using the Reverse Scallop Circle Dies, which added a lovely texture.
I cut the background panel out using the Layered Rectangle dies. A little bit of foam tape, and the card was done! It’s a lot of pink, but I love it!
Until next time, may you have brightness in your life!
Blessings,
