Crocodile Beach

Hey ya’ll! Katie here. Summer if finally here and I have a fun beachy post just for you!

Doesn’t this make you want to hit the beach? It does me, even if these crocs are in the water, they just want to play along side and enjoy the rays!

I made this one using the Smile Crocodile Stamp and Die of the Month. I stamped the images and colored them with my Copics (YG03, YG09, YG17, YG61, G09, G14, Y13, Y15, B29, B26, B24, C7, C5, YR04, YR07, YR16, E15, E31, E33, R14, R35, R37, R85), then cut them out with the dies, then added white gel highlights. I set those aside and used the Sympathy Slim Line Dies for the outside, I cut it in yellow and blue. I cut the exterior off of the blue and mounted it inside the yellow. I used a bit of distress ink for the sky, then I used some Summer Glitter Cardstock and die cut the waves using Waves Border Die set. I used some kraft cardstock, hand cut it to look like beach, then dusted it with Burlap distress ink and added some brown spots to create the look. I mounted the beach and waves so they made even blocks lengthwise. Next, I die cut the suns in yellow and the clouds in white using the Rainbow Dies. I used a bit of Persimmon distress ink to color the sun, again using my Mini Ergonomic Blending Brush. Next, I placed the gators in the scene using foam tape. Then I added in my sun and a cloud.

Here is a close up of the top two gators, they are so cute. I really love the one with the shades, he is pretty cool. Here is a close up of the bottom gator who is submerged in the water.

These gators are about as happy as can be and they sure make me smile. I didn’t have much room for a sentiment, so I chose to go with out. If I decide to use it for a specific occasion, I can stamp the sentiment inside. Here is one last shot to make you smile.

Well I hope you enjoyed this card. Please check out IG, FB and YouTube for more inspiration. Thank you so much for visiting me today! ~Katie
