Hello Everyone,
It is Zsofi here. I will not reveal a secret if I tell you that I am a real woman and love flowers. I love to get, and love to give – and with spring slowly approaching I am longing for them even more. Until the real ones get to the market (my favourites are tulips) I enjoyed colouring these beauties from the latest release.
I started with colouring the bouquets from Gorgeous Vases. I used Copic markers and cut everything with their coordinating dies.
I wanted to make my own vases so I stamped the solid vases with green and blue inks and created a mask around it using full sticky post it notes. Then I placed the Garden Gate stencil over it and applied white pigment ink directly from the ink pad. I removed the mask and heat embossed them with white embossing powder. Aren’t they gorgeous? They look so real thanks to the texture and shine!
I cut them out with the coordinating dies and glued them together with the bouquets. I popped each vase on a thin strip of white cardstock which I matted with a slightly wider black one. For the background I used patterned paper from the new Pastel Dreams paper pad.
The sentiments are from the Spring sentiments set, white heat embossed on a very skinny black strip and adhered directly to the vases. I love how it becomes part of the design.
I finished the cards with some black glaze pen dots on the vases and the middle of the flowers and covered the petals with clear shimmer for a subtle sparkle.
I hope you enjoyed this unique technique and you will give it a try. Thanks for stopping by and see you soon!
