Hello Everyone,
It is Zsofia here today with another cheerful holiday card. You might know already how much I love to mix and match older and new stamp sets. The new Sweet Christmas set goes perfectly with the Christmas mugs set from last year! Yay! It means I can combine two of my favourite things: coffee and sweets 🙂
I started with stamping a few images from both stamp sets, coloured them with Copic markers and used their coordinating dies to cut them out. Then I die cut 2 stitched circles, one from textured white cardstock and one from blue cardstock.
For the background I chose a cheerful and colourful paper from the Jolly paper pad. It matched my design so well.
After deciding on the layout of the images, I adhered everything either with a tape runner or thin foam tape to vary the dimensions. The sentiment is from the Sweet Christmas set, white heat embossed on a red banner and popped up with 3D foam tape.
And then there was nothing left but tiny finishing touches: a bit of clear shimmer on the mug, a few dots with a white and a clear glitter gel pen to look like frosting, and a bit of glossy accents here and there.
I hope you got inspired and you will also look for mix & match opportunities for your older stamps and dies. There are so many more images in the 2 sets I used, I am thinking about making more cards with the same design. Would make a perfect gift to a friend, even with a hidden gift card inside to a coffee shop.
Until next time happy crafting,
Zsofi
