Hi everyone! Samantha here today on the Pink and Main Blog so excited to share a sneak peek of some super fun new products available in the store this Friday, July 19th. Today I am sharing a card I made using the new Chasing Rainbows Stamp Set along with the coordinating Chasing Rainbow Dies. I paired this new stamp set with a design made using the new Rainbow Cascade Mini Slimline Die.
I usually start my projects with the stamped images, so I first stamped the roller skating unicorn from the Chasing Rainbows stamp set onto Copic XPress-It paper in black ink. I then used my Copic markers to color her in shades of bright pink, teal, and lime green. Once she was colored, I cut her out using the Chasing Rainbow Dies and got to work on my background.
To keep things simple I decided to make a mini-slimline card since I wanted to feature the new Rainbow Cascade Mini Slimline Die. Using a paper trimmer, I first cut a piece of white cardstock to 3.5″ x 6″ which would be used as a card panel to glue on my die cuts. Next, I went through my cardstock stash and pulled out magenta, teal, and lime green to match my unicorn. To help the colors really pop, I also grabbed some black glitter cardstock. I think ran each color of cardstock through my die machine using the Rainbow Cascade die and made sure to save all of my die cuts. Once I was done die-cutting, I then assembled my die cuts in a pattern and glued them all down to my white card panel.
*PRO TIP – Save all of your unused die cuts and use them to make additional cards. This Rainbow Cascade Mini Slimline Die is great for mass producing cards!
Once I had my card panel completed, I stamped a sentiment from the Chasing Rainbows stamp set in the upper left of the card panel in black in and I adhered my unicorn image with foam tape. I then decided I needed a little something extra so I started looking through my stash when I found a star die in the Reverse Scallop Square Dies and I knew it would be perfect. I die cut three stars from the scraps of my black glitter cardstock and adhered them with foam tape.
My card is now complete and as cute as can be!
