Hey there, Katie here today with another sneak peek for this month’s fun release. Even though I am not mentally ready for it, this release is starting to get me in the mood for fall.
Isn’t that bat so stinking CUTE! I love this Let’s Go Batty Stamp Set and Coordinating Die Set, these darling images just make me smile.
For this one, I started by stamping and coloring the image, then I die cut it with the dies. The Copic colors I used for the bat and candy were BV08, V04, V09, V12, V15, V17, RV02, RV04, RV17, C7, G14, YG06, YG11, YG00, B01, B02, YR07, YR04, YR02. Next, I used some smooth white cardstock and a Layered Circle Dies to create a stencil and then used it to create the background. I used my Mini Ergo Blending Brush. I used Distress Inks, Mustard, Sapphire, Jeans and Black Soot to create the sky. Then I splattered a little water on it. Once dry, I stamped the sentiment and added the stars. I die cut the Batty Sentiment and colored it with my green Copics, I added some glue along the bottom and then sprinkled it with the new Foliage Glitter. I added strip of purple Summer Glitter Paper across the bottom and then mounted the sentiment with foam tape. I decided to add a little flair by adding glitter to the eyes too and then I added the bat to the base with more foam tape. Next, I mounted that layer on a bit of DP from the Happy Paper Pad, with a little Mowed Lawn to the bottom half to make it match the gradient of the sentiment. That layer was then mounted on a navy base.
Tell me you don’t want to just give that cute little candy carrying bat a hug? I do! Sparkly eyes and all. I think he is so adorable.
I hope you enjoyed this post today. Be sure to check out all the other inspiration and come back for the release!
