Welcome everyone! I’m excited to be guesting with Pink & Main and their May 2019 release! I fell in love with this Bright Side stamp set!
I normally like to create bright, bold backgrounds but in my watercolor experimenting, I thought it would be fun to try and create a pastel background for my rainbow.

I have a video showing you my process down below or you can view on my Youtube channel.
I have a video showing you my process down below or you can view HERE on my Youtube channel.I started by stamping my images out onto Neenah Solar White card stock with copic friendly ink. Then colored with copic markers and die cut out with the coordinating dies that you can purchase separately.
For my background, I’m using Liquid Watercolors from Hero Arts on the Waffle Flower Water Media Mat. I’m using the colors Pink, Orange, Dandelion, Leaf, Deep Ocean and Purple. I’m going to add about 3-4 drops of water to each color to tone the colors down and help create the pastel look.
To do my watercoloring, I’m adding water to a piece of Canson Watercolor card stock. This is the wet-on-wet technique which is the easiest for me to work with right now. I apply each of the colors across my card stock and dry with my heat tool. I was very tempted to go back over the colors but held myself back.
Once the panel was dry, I trimmed it down with the Stitched Rectangles die. I layered this to a piece of white card stock using foam tape and then added to card base made from Mermaid card stock.
I attached the rainbow and sun to the front of my card with foam tape for more dimension. My sentiment is also from the Bright Side stamp set in which I heat embossed with White embossing powder onto Mermaid card stock to coordinate with the card base. I trimmed this piece down and added to the card front with foam tape.
I hope you enjoyed today’s inspiration ! Thank you so much Pink & Main for having me!
