Hello Pink and Main friends. It’s Donna here, gearing up to move country again. I’m starting to wonder whether not shifting house should be the only time that I have news on the subject!
But… onto the real news! Isn’t the March release full of fun? I have created a shaker card with the whole kitchen sink thrown at it for today’s card.
The main hero of this card is the Party Hat Dies, that I used to cut all of the elements. Here’s what I cut -One hat from Holographic cardstock, and four more from scrap card to build up the height, Partial hats from the different glitter cardstocks in the Summer glitter paper, one hat outline from white cardstock, and the pompom and sentiment also from the same Summer glitter paper.
To construct the card, started from the front, putting some acetate onto the back of the white hat outline, and adding the holographic hat to the front of this. I added foam tape to the edges of the hat shape on the back, and to the edges of the panel, and some regular adhesive tape behind the holographic cardstock. I then made the glittery part of the hat, layering up the scrap card hats, and pressing the glitter circles into the bottom of each hole. I then added some warm jellies and cool jellies to the holes, matching the colours.
Next it was time to carefully sandwich all together, being careful not to dislodge the jellies. Finally, the pompom and sentiment glued on top completed this fun shaker birthday card.
I hope that you’re finding lots to celebrate, and that you have plenty on sparkle in your days. Until next time,
Blessings,
Donna
