Hi everyone!
Ilina here! Have you checked the new glitter embossing powders that were released this past Friday?
There were: Wintergreen, Chameleon and Denim and they coordinate so well with each other! I Pulled a set from last month’s release that had perfectly sized sentiments to be embossed and used as a focal point “Happy New Year”
To make the card I started by stamping the sentiment using Lakeside and Barbershop ink pads. I wanted the sentiment to be darker even though I am adding embossing powder on top. Once I stamped the sentiment in color, I stamped over it using Embossing/Watermark ink (I used my MISTI tool to do this, so everything lined up)
Now, I am ready to add the glitter embossing powder. I started with the lightest one on the bottom and applied to about 1/3 of the entire sentiment. I shook off the excess and returned to the jar. Next, in the middle 1/3 I added Chameleon and repeated the process, then did the Denim. Once the entire sentiment was covered, I heat set it. Then returned the panel in my MISTI and stamped one more time using Embossing/Watermark ink and repeated the process of embossing using the three embossing powders.
I trimmed the panel to 3 3/4″ x 5″ and set aside. Stamped Wishing You and embossed using Denim embossing powder. Trimmed to a strip and added to the panel.
To finish off the card I created a side folding card base from Barbershop cardstock and adhered the stamped and embossed panel to it.
