Baby Blanket Inspired Cards from Pink and Main Live!

Hi friends, this is Caitlin from Caitlin Annalee Cards and I am sharing two cards that I made live on the Pink and Main YouTube Channel and Facebook Page. I am so in love with how these turned out and it was even better than I planned in my head. If you haven’t seen one of my live steams yet, I go live at 8:30 pm eastern on Tuesdays and Thursdays and I would love you to come hang out with me!!! For these cards I wanted to try to create a baby blanket inspired background panel for the Welcome Baby Stamp set using the Fun Lattice Stencils. I had used these in the past and lined them up in a different way than intended so I wanted to redeem myself and use them again the “right” way. For the record, the other way did still look pretty cute lol. You can see the replay of this whole process here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U9Gc4aBiVxM

I started the whole process with two Pebble Card Stock A2 side folding card bases and then cut Ice Rink Card Stock with two of the Scalloped Oval Dies twice, in order to have 4 layers total. I stamped each onesie image and then added the sunshine image to the ruffly onesie and the little elephant to the t-shirt onesie. I colored these in with Copic markers and used the coordinating dies to cut them out. I went for soft pinks and yellows for the sunshine outfit and baby blues and grey for the elephant outfit.

I used the hearts and main leafy layer of the Fun Lattice Stencils for both of the smaller ovals using different color schemes to match the onesies I wanted to use. I used the lightest amount of ink possible for both cards and used Dress Shop and Construction Premium Dye Ink for the more feminine card and Barber Shop and Asphalt Premium Dye Ink for the more masculine card. It was so fun to make this really vibrant and pigmented ink look soft and pastel. I adhered the larger ovals to the center of each card base and then added the stenciled layer on top. I added the pink/yellow layer flat with liquid glue and the blue/grey layer with foam tape. I did the reverse process with the onesies, adding the sunshine one with foam tape and the elephant one with liquid glue. To finish off the cards, I added the smallest pearls from the yellow and blues in the Pastel Pearls set to the center of each leafy “x” with liquid glue.

I think these are just the sweetest and I hope you will come hang out with me tomorrow or next week when I go live again!!!
