Hi friends! This is Caitlin and this week I am sharing a card I made using the August Stamp and Die of the Month. I ususally fall in love with the Stamp of the Month but this set is one of my favorites this year. I made a card with this set Live last week for Pink and Main but the thing I love about a set like this is that it really crosses over at 3 seasons so easily so I had to make another card asap.
I started out by stamping my image with the Asphalt Premium Dye Ink onto Copic Xpress-it paper and letting it dry for a few minutes. Then I colored it with Copic Sketch Markers and used the coordinating dies to cut it out.
To prep my card base I trimmed down a panel of Pebble Card Stock to fit a standard A2 card (5.5 in x 4.25 in). I dug through my scrap folder and found a piece of one of the fall themed Year Round Plaids that I trimmed down to be 1.5 in x 4.25 in and added it to the Pebble Card Stock with EZ Squeeze Glue. I added the image on top of the plaid with foam tape to help it to stand out and add some dimension to this card.
For the sentiment, I cut the Hey Friend word die from the Wide Stitched Arches Die Set with Wildflowers Card Stock. I felt like it looked a little flat so I added some dark brown marker as a shadow and white gel pen as a highlight along the letters. I added that with liquid glue as well and then decided we needed some shine since this was pretty simple so far. I found 3 brown pearls from the color mix section of the Essential Pearls wheel and added them around the image. I just love how happy and cute this stamp set is and I hope you are super inspired to get crafting.
