Hello Pink and Main friends. It’s Donna here, and I’ve just had the most lovely day, doing what I love most – colouring flowers! This gorgeous peony is part of the Pretty Peony Stamp set.
This peony has been coloured with Copic markers. It has a lot of detail, so you can either go to town with all the colours, as I’ve done here, or colour it more simply, as the stamp will shine though. Once I’d coloured the image, I cut it out. I used scissors, as the matching dies are still winging their way to me. (actually, according to the package tracking, they’re having a three week holiday in Miami!)
I used the Layered Square Dies to cut both a square hole in the card front, and also, by cutting two dies together, I made the trim for the square. I chose a burgundy that matched the colours of the Copics I’d chosen.
The background was made by thoroughly wetting a piece of watercolour paper, then adding spatters of yellow and pink paint, as well as some perfect pearls mixed with water. The sentiment is from the Pretty Peony stamp set.
The final touch was some Glitter Enamel dots from the Thankful set. I chose a yellow that echoed the colours on the background.
I’m so excited to colour more of these flowers and share them with you! Until next time, stay safe.
Blessings,
So pretty!
Have a great day!
Marilyn ❤️
