Good morning, Pink & Main fans!! Laurie here to share a card made using only die cuts. There is not one stitch of stamping on this project. Die cutting is one of my favourite things to do. I try to think of new ways to use basic dies to get a bit more use from them. I combined some new and old products on todays card and had an absolute blast making it!!
I went through my stash of P&M dies and as soon as I came across the Scalloped Squares dies, the idea of making these into presents popped into my head! I die cut three different sizes out of white cardstock with the intent of adding some Distress Ink for colour. I decided to use some awesome patterned paper instead!
I used the Be Brave paper pad for the largest two presents and stuck with red cardstock for the smallest. To decorate each present, I added narrow strips of cardstock to resemble ribbon. To add even more flair to the gifts, I used the new Winter Wreath Decor Dies. These were made to co-ordinate with the recently released Wreath Base Dies but all these dies can easily be used on their own!!
I love that ribbon but I have to admit, I’m a little obsessed with snowmen at the moment so he’s my favourite :). I cut the Basket Cover Die out of white cardstock and layered it onto a white card base. Even though the gifts are cute, this card still has an elegant feel to it.
The “Joy” sentiment comes from the older Christmas Window Dies which co-ordinate with the Christmas Window Stamp Set. I added a bit of shimmer pen to a few of the decorations as well as the sentiment. I also just had to put a few of the clear Glossy Dots from the Rainbow Glossy Dots pack (love these things!)
Thank you so much for stopping by this morning!
Until next time…
Laurie
