Mermazing coffee

Hello Everyone,

It is Zsofi here with a summer themed card among those Fall beauties you see nowadays on the blog.

I am a huge fan of coffee and mermaids (I am still a child in soul) and I was eager to use the Mermazing Coffee set as soon as I got my hands on them.

I started with making an alcohol inked background using Yupo paper and some blue-purple shades of alcohol inks. I helped them blending with a felt applicator and some blending solution. When it was dry, I die cut a Wave border from it and matted it with black cardstock for more dimension.

I stamped the pretty mermaid coffee cups on alcohol ink friendly cardstock and coloured them with Copic markers. I did not have the coordinating dies so I fussy cut them out with scissors. I added some clear shimmer with a tonic Aqua shimmer pen to the tails and glossy accents to the cover of the cups.

I arranged everything on a white top folding card base to see where I need to stamp the sentiment and I also wanted to add some stitched steam just above the bigger cup. I love this little extra touch, it makes it special. After adhering the elements in place I embellished the steam with some iridescent jewels.
