Hello P&M fans,
Today, I am sharing a card a created using a retiring stamp set called, FLORALS. I love the different layering aspects of this set. This time I decided to do a pretty Spring watercolor card. I embossed the flowers in white and randomly spread out pastel watercolors throughout. I sprayed it generously with water in a fine mister and dabbed (no, not the dance move) it with a paper towel. I also embossed the saying and added a few elements for dimension (flower, colored gauze). One really cool thing I discovered, which to some may be old news, was that the Spectrum Noir sparkle glitter brush pen reacts like water. I used it on the center of the flowers and around the edges, not expecting it to do anything but add sparkle. I was pleasantly surprised when it actually gave a “bleaching” effect. Hope you will have fun trying this technique.
Check out this and other retired sets HERE before they are gone.
DON’T FORGET to participate in our monthly challenges HERE. Awesome prizes and lots of fun. Also, don’t forget to join our blog hop Friday, Feb 10, where we will be showcasing all of the new releases. 🙂
