Hope everyone is ready to head back to school. I love having my daughter here with me, but I have to admit that it’s nice to have some free time back. Still they grow up so very fast and it sure is flying by. I am sharing a card I made for the August challenge: School. You can check out the challenge here.
For this project, I wanted to make a card that had a removable bookmark. First I created the bookmark, and then I cut a 1″ slit into the front so it can easily slide in and out (shown below).

I used one of my favorite stamp sets called Smarty Pants. I also used colored pencils and odorless mineral spirits for blending. Finished it off with clear dimensional glue for the glasses.
