Hi everyone! Samantha here today on the Pink and Main Blog sharing a little inspiration using the new Cozy Penguins Stamp Set.
To start my card, I first stamped two of the adorable images from the Cozy Penguins stamp set onto Copic Xpress It cardstock in Memento Tuxedo Black ink before coloring the images with Copic markers. Once colored, I die cut each image using the coordinating Cozy Penguins Dies and set them aside to work on my background. I knew I wanted an outdoor scene so I first grabbed a piece of snowflake pattern paper from the new Cozy Winter Paper Pack and I die cut it out using the largest die from the Stitched Rounded Rectangle Dies.
Next, I need to create a snow bank so I grabbed some plain white cardstock and my Waves and Scallops Border Dies. Using one of the stitched dies from the set I cut out a section 5.5″ long and and about 2″ high on the widest side. I then took this die cut and reran it through my die cutting machine with my Stitched Rounded Rectangle frame die so it would easily line up with the background paper. Next, I stamped my sentiment from the Cozy Penguins Stamp Set in black ink as shown above before adhering the snow bank to the background using foam tape for dimension.
To finish everything off, I die cut 3 trees using the Little Trees Dies out of colored cardstock from my stash and adhered them as shown with foam tape before also adding on my two penguin images. Lastly, I added a few pretty embellishments using the new Mother of Pearl Sticky Gems.
This card came together pretty quickly and is such a sweet thing to share with a good friend on a cold Winter day.
