Hello, friends and happy Friday!! Brenda back with you today!! I always have trouble creating masculine cards!, so when I saw the Go Wild Stamp Set, I immediately knew that I wanted to use the deer image to create a masculine card!! We have several deer hunters in my family, so this was the perfect image!!
I started by embossing the deer and sentiment from the Go Wild Stamp Set onto Ice Rink cardstock with Gold Rush embossing powder. I used the Coordinating Dies to cut them out, then set them aside to work on my background.
I chose two papers from the Great Outdoors Paper Pack and die-cut the second and third largest Oblong Stitched Hexagon Dies from them. The largest die in the Stitched Rectangles 2 Die Set was cut from Ice Rink cardstock and it was embossed with the Stars Embossing Folder. It was adhered to a panel of green cardstock that was die-cut with the largest die in the Layered Rectangles A2 Die Set. The hexagons were adhered to the background with liquid glue.
The bottom layers of the Leafy Set 3 Dies were cut from green cardstock and the top layer from white cardstock. I coated the top layer with Versamark Ink, then sprinkled on Gold Rush embossing powder and melted the powder with my heat gun. I repeated the process one more time for a smooth finish. They were layered and adhered together, slightly offset, then adhered to the top and bottom of the hexagon. I added a trio of Gold Sticky Gems to the center of each of the leaf clusters. To finish, the deer and sentiment were popped up with foam tape.
Here’s an angled shot to show all the shine from that pretty Gold Rush embossing powder.
Now I have a masculine card to add to my stash!!
Thank you so much for spending a bit of your Friday with me!! Have a great weekend!!
