Hi everyone! Samantha here today out on the Pink and Main Blog excited to share a sneak peek of the upcoming October release on October 18th. Today I am featuring a pair of fun Clean and Simple (CAS) cards featuring the new Go Wild Stamp Set.

I don’t often make CAS cards so this was a fun challenge for me. I live in the Pacific Northwest and I wanted to use animals that are local to my community so I selected the bear and the fox images. Starting with the bear image I knew I wanted to use blues and greens so I selected 3 coordinating blue and 3 coordinating green dye inks from my stash and set them aside while I masked off a horizontal section of a white card panel measuring 3.75″ x 5.”

Starting from right to left, I ink-blended a gradient starting with the darkest green to the lightest green and then moving from the lightest blue and finishing with the darkest blue shade. Once complete, I removed my masking paper and stamped my image onto the ink-blended section in a rich black.

To better make the details within the bear image pop, I grabbed a white Prismacolor pencil and colored in the inside designs before stamping my sentiment as shown above and adding some soft black dots with a fine-liner pen. To finish everything off, I adhered my white panel onto a black A2-sized folding card-base with foam tape before moving onto the next card.

For my second card, I followed the same steps noted above, only I chose a Fall color palette reminiscent of a fox’s fur. I selected 5 inks from my stash starting with 3 shades of orange and two shades of yellow before masking off a vertical strip on my white card panel. Starting with the darkest orange on the bottom I ink-blended another gradient finishing with the lightest yellow before stamping my fox image towards the bottom as shown.

All other steps noted for card one above were repeated to finish my second card and I am so please with the final results. I now have a pair of complementary cards perfect for a man or for a woman.
