Happy Turkey Day

Happy Friday, crafty friends!! Brenda here with you today!! I have a fun Thanksgiving card to share that combines several patterned papers from the Hello Fall Patterned Paper Pack with the adorable turkey from the Harvest Turkeys Stamp Set!!

I started by stamping the turkey from the Harvest Turkey Stamp Set onto Ice Rink cardstock with Asphalt ink. I colored him with Copic markers, added highlights with a white gel pen, then used the Coordinating Die to cut him out.

For the background, I stenciled one of the Foliage Foilable Sheets using the Foliage Stencils. (You can save a little cash by purchasing both of these in a bundle.) I selected ink colors to coordinate with the patterned papers in the Hello Fall Patterned Paper Pack. These sheets can be foiled, but I loved the touches of black with the black outline on the turkey, so I didn’t foil it. The panel was die-cut with the second largest die in the Layered Rectangles A2 Die Set. I also die-cut the orange diamond paper from the same paper pack with the largest die in the same set. I cut banners from patterned paper using dies from the Card Cut Essentials Set 1 & the Card Cut Essentials Set 2. (There’s also a bundle that includes both of these sets.)

Next, I die-cut the second largest die in the Thin Flag Banner Die Set from Ice Rink cardstock and blended the same green ink that I used on the background around the edges. The sentiment, also from the Harvest Turkeys Stamp Set, was stamped onto the bottom of the banner with Asphalt ink. All of the layers were adhered together using liquid glue and the turkey was popped up with foam tape. I wrapped Golden Twine around the top of the panel and tied a bow where it overlapped the small banner dies. Gold Sticky Gems add a bit of shine and tie in the gold in the twine. Lastly, a black glaze pen darkens and adds shine to the turkey’s eyes.

That does it for me today!! Thanks so much for stopping by!! Have a wonderful weekend!!

Brenda
