Hi friends, I can’t believe it’s already another sneak peek week! I hate that I had a need for this card last week but I was so relieved when I realized that I had the perfect sentiment for the situation. I highly recommend making sympathy cards when you don’t need them so that you have a little stash ready and aren’t trying to create while dealing with loss or trying to support someone else while they are.
I started out this card by stamping the large floral corner image from the new So Sorry Stamp Set with Asphalt Ink onto Copic X-Press It Paper and let it dry for a few minutes. I colored the arrangement in with R80s, BVs and G Copic Markers for a less saturated color pallet and used the coordinating die to cut it out. Because the flowers did still have a good bit of color, I wanted my background to be very soft and minimal to balance it out so I trimmed down a piece of woven print paper from the Butterfly Kisses 6×6 Paper Pack to 4 in x 5.25 in and added it to a side folding white A2 sized card base.
I die cut some Ice Rink Card Stock with a Scalloped Oval Die and stamped a sentiment from the same So Sorry Set directly on it. I added it to the card with foam tape and then used EZ Squeeze Liquid Glue to add the floral image on top. To add a little bit of shine I added a few of the darker grey pearls from the Essential Pearls set around the flowers. I like that they make it feel special but they aren’t too flashy. I can’t wait for the new release to come out and I will be sharing a huge sneak peek Live tomorrow night on the Pink and Main Facebook and Youtube Channel at 8:30 Eastern. I hope to see you there!
