Hi friends, this is Caitlin from Caitlin Annalee Cards and today I am sharing this super quick and easy summer card. I have been wanting to create with the fun tiki images in the Tiki Time stamp set and the first day of summer felt like the perfect time. I started out by picking a paper pack to work with so that I coordinate my color choice. I have been using a lot of the Warm and Cool basics sets recently to I decided to change it up and use the Happy Paper Pad.
I picked a plaid and a tone on tone polka dot to layer up and decided to use the teal and fuchsia as accent colors on my tikis. I trimmed the plaid paper to be 5.5 in x 4.25 in and added it to a side folding A2 card base. Then I trimmed the polka dot paper down to 5.5 in x 2.75 in and added it with liquid glue to the center of the card. I stamped the tiki images onto alcohol friendly paper with the Asphalt Premium Dye Ink and let it dry for a few minutes. I used Copic Markers to color in my images, with teal eyes and pink tongues.
I used the coordinating dies to cut out the tikis and temporarily laid them on my card front to map out where to stamp the Aloha sentiment. Once that was taken care of, I added them to their spots with foam tape. For a little extra pop of color and shine I added 3 of the green Blessings Glitter Enamel Dots around the tikis in a diagonal line. This card was so quick and fun to make, I hope it inspires you to get crafting!!
