Make a splash!

Hello friends. It’s Donna here, and I’m excited to say that it’s sneak peek season again! I love playing with new products and I cannot lie! I’m showcasing a fun stencil today that works really well with the upcoming release as well as with some older Pink and Main products.

Today’s background was made using the Celebrate Stencil blended with a cool blue ink. The stencil is possibly designed to be fireworks, but I thought it would be fun to use it as a splash and discover ways to stretch my supplies. I placed the splash lower on my background panel to allow room for the sparkly mermaid tail.

The mermaid tail comes from a stamp set called Waves of Cheer. I stamped this in clear watermark ink and heat embossed it with Seaglass Embossing powder. There isn’t an embossing powder more perfect than this one for mermaid tails in my opinion! I then cut it out with the Waves of Cheer matching die and popped it up with foam tape.

The coloured card used throughout is from Pink and Main. It’s called Lakeside, and I love the way it makes the white pop. I stamped the sentiment (from a stamp set called Stay Cool) onto the same Lakeside card with Watermark ink and heat embossed it with Frosting Embossing Powder. The final touch was some Cool Jellies scattered over the card.

That’s all for today’s card. I hope you are well and enjoying some milder weather as we head into March. Until next time, stay safe

Blessings

Donna
