Hi Friends, this is Caitlin from Caitlin Annalee Cards and I am so excited to share this bright and easy summer card with you today. Today is my birthday so it’s an extra special card for me and I hope you feel inspired. I really wanted to create a card with the new Roundabout 6×6 Embossing Folder because the texture is so unique and fun and so I started by cutting a panel of the Pebble Card Stock down to be 5.5 in x 4.25 in (A2 sized) and pressing it with the folder through my die cut machine. I decided that I wanted a singular die cut image to place center stage with on the panel so I grabbed this cool guy from the Smile Crocodile stamp set with his sunglasses and ice cream cone. I stamped him out with an alcohol safe ink and colored him in with copic markers (for a peek at the coloring process you can check out my reel on Instagram). I die cut him with the coordinating set and decided that I wanted a die cut sentiment to pair up with him.
My favorite new set for die cut sentiments is the Stay Cool Stamp Set and I decided that the Hello Sunshine sentiment was perfect for this card. I stamped out the sentiment with a hot pink ink and then die cut it with the coordinating dies. I really wanted to bring in more color to balance everything out so I searched through my patterned paper stash and decided on this bright rainbow-esque stripe from the All Occasion Florals 6×6 Pad and trimmed it down to 5.5 in x 4.25 in. I trimmed the dry embossed Pebble Panel down to 5 in x 3.75 in for a nice boarder and then adhered them together. I glued the crocodile down flat to the panel with the Ez Squeeze Glue Tube and popped up my sentiment with foam tape. The final touch was adding one of each color from the All Occasion Enamel Dots scattered around the card for some sparkle and shine! I love how sweet and happy this card is and that it can work for so many occasions. Hope you are having a happy summer and a great day!
