Hi Friends! This is Caitlin from Caitlin Annalee Cards and I am sharing this super simple and easy card that I made by combining two of my favorite stamp sets. I wanted to make a more clean and simple card so I grabbed the Thinking of You Always Stamp Set. Unfortunately, I think this set has been retired and I wasn’t able to find it on the website but if you already have this set, or any other Pink and Main floral set, this is such a cute layout you can create.
I stamped the main image from the Thinking of You Always set with Copic safe ink onto a panel of white card stock that measures 5 in x 3.75 in as well as one of the skunks from Stinking’ Sweet Stamp Set on a scrap of card stock. I used my Copics to color in all of the images and I just kept the coloring really simple, being very careful to stay in the lines since I would not be cutting anything out from the floral image. I really love that you can customize this coloring to fit so many seasons or recipients and you could easily create this same lay out using another floral stamp and some masking to create those horizontal boarders. I colored the skunk in as well and used the coordinating die set to cut that out. I used the skunk to help me line up the Scent With Love Sentiment, which I cut into two pieces with sharp scissors, by placing it just left of center and lining up the words on either side of it. Then I moved it out of the way and stamped the words in place.
I added foam adhesive to the back of the skunk to give the card a little more dimension and interest and then popped it right in between the sentiment. I added this panel to a piece black card stock measuring 5.5 in x 4.25 in so there was a nice even, thick boarder and then attached the whole thing to a white card base. The last step was to add a little shine so I grabbed the Essential Pearls and used the smallest size of the cream pearls to add some shine to the center of each of the small flowers. I love how pretty and dainty this card turned out and I hope you feel inspired to play with mixing up you stamp sets!!!
