It’s Your Time to Bloom Spring Card

Hi friends, this is Caitlin from Caitlin Annalee Cards and I had so much fun making this bright and happy card! I got to pair up pattern paper, ink blending, coloring and bling… and it doesn’t get better than that for me. My whole inspiration for this card came from the large daisy and the lady bugs in the Lady Bug Garden Stamp set, they are just so sweet that I was dying to use them. I stamped them out as well as one of the scenes from the Spring Snow Globe Stamp Set and colored them in with Copics. To pick the color combinations for the scene, I used a white and multicolored floral print from the All Occasion Floral Paper Pad and color matched with it. I cut the three images out with the coordinating dies and then got to work on making them a scene to fit into.

I ended up making my ink blended panel a little backwards from how I normally would, but it still turned out really cute! I trimmed down a piece of Kraft card stock to 4.5 in x 3.25 in and adhered it to the pattern paper which I trimmed down to be A2 sized (5.5 in x 4.25 in). The I lined up the whole panel to the back of the Mask It – Rectangle Stencil and held it together with washi tape. Then I used the inner part of the mask/stencil to create the horizon line and washi taped that in place as well. I used the Mini Ergonomic Blender Brush to ink blend a blue sky and then shifted the inner rectangle mask up so that I could add green ink for the grass. I stamped a sentiment from the Spring Sayings that perfectly fit the little scene in black ink in the bottom left corner of the Kraft panel and then glued the die cut images into place. The final step was to add 3 of the teal dots from the Dragonfly Dreams Enamel Dot to tie everything together. I hope you are feeling super inspired and that this card brought you a smile!
