Sweet and Clean Spring-time Cards

Hello Friends! This is Caitlin from Caitlin Annalee Cards and I am absolutely in love with how this little pair of cards turned out! I am not usually confident in my abilities to make a “clean and simple” but I have found that using the amazing embossing folders from Pink and Main on plain white card stock makes the perfect “simple” background. I love the detail and interest that the folders add but using white card stock keeps the overall look balanced. I think that this look is especially perfect for a spring-time, fresh card and the BEAUTIFUL new Ladybug Garden Stamps and Dies.

The two embossing folders I used for these cards are the Let’s Polka Embossing Folder and the Quatrefoil Embossing Folder. I think that the polka dots have a little more of a fun, whimsical feel and the quatrefoil is a little more elegant but I think with the texture being white tone-on-tone, both really go well with almost any theme you could want.

I used each floral cluster in the stamp set on its own card along with a different lady bug and sentiment. I love that you can make cards like this at the same time with very little extra work but get two cards instead of one. I stamped all of my images with an alcohol marker safe ink and then colored them in with my Copic Markers and cut them out with the coordinating dies. I tried my hardest to match the green of the foliage to the mint green of the background paper. I used papers from the All Occasion Florals 6×6 Paper Pack for both of my main card panels. I popped up the sentiments on some foam tape to give them a little more weight and dimension and I think this little duo pack quite a springy- punch!!

Thank you so much for coming to hang out with me today and I hope you are feeling inspired – make sure you check out the newest release if you haven’t already, because warmer and brighter days are ahead and we have to be ready to celebrate!
