Crows Welcome

Tuesday again and another post from Katie. Today I am just arriving home from a little mini vacation with my family. I have been working so hard at my day job that I just needed a little break and we went to Lake Tahoe for the first time. It was great to recharge. Since Tahoe had the fall vibe, I thought it would be fun to go back to a fall card.

Today’s card features the Harvest Greetings set. I have been pretty into purple lately, much to my DT member Amanda’s chagrin as she is not a huge fan of the color, but she still lets me send her cards with purple in them! LOL.

For this card, I started by stamping my images from Harvest Greetings using my Misti and black ink. I cut them out with the coordinating Harvest Greeting Die Set. Then I colored them up with my Copics and added gel pen highlights (E09, E07, V12. V05. V17, YG13, YG15, Y26, YR23, YR09, YR04, YR15, E51, B23, B12, C7, C5, C3, C1, E25, E27, E13, R11). Next, I took a piece of Eggplant colored cardstock and mounted some paper from the Happy Paper Pad down the middle, affixing it with my EZ Tear Tape. Next, I pulled out the Wreath Base die and cut it in two different shades of green, I affixed this to the center of the card. On top of that, I mounted my scarecrow and pumpkin using foam tape. Next, I added some small purple clay flowers to my wreath. Last, but not least, I used the Large Sentiment Strip die to cut out the sentiment I had stamped on some turquoise paper to pull out a bit more of the blue.

This guy is clearly not scaring any crows away, but that is OK, because he is a cute buy and makes for a very fun centerpiece for this fall card. Crows welcome here.

I hope you like this card and am wishing you a happy fall. Thank you for visiting me today and be sure to check out our FB and IG pages for more inspiration. Feel free to visit the shop to pick up some of these fabulous goodies too! 🙂 ~Katie
